Walking in a winter wonderland... (SNOWBALL FIGHT!)

Nov 30, 2007 23:48

Buffy, Willow and Xander have all bounced outside, bundled up against the cold - for three kids who've spent all their lives in California, it's fucking freezing. But also really damn awesome, since snow is practically unheard of for them.

They take a moment to gape at the unfamiliar powdery white stuff that's all over the place. Snow is a new and ( Read more... )

There is a George in snow.

She's standing a little ways away from the Scoobies and just watching with a rather amused smirk on her face. She's a sucker for snowball fights and also the element of surprise.

Crouching down, she forms a ball and hurls it towards Buffy.

Kitty knows she shouldn't go outside due to her cold, but a snowball fight like that? It was almost unresistable! She's poking her head through the wall (yes, through and watching the games before thinking up her scarf and coat.

She slips by the wall and scoops up some snow of her own, sneaking up behind the (what she thinks!) is an unsuspecting George and throws her snowball at her, grinning. She'll regret this later, she knows, but right now, she can't help herself. And it's even then she's thinking about sending a myriad of snowballs at the others outside as well.

Oh, the possiblities.

She definitely wasn't expecting to get attacked from behind and whirls around to face her new persecuter.

"Oh so not fair," she calls out before making a ball and throwing it at the other girl.

She looks around for a place to hide, skittering across the snow to find safe refuge behind a tree.

Unfortunately, hiding behind said tree was Joan, with a ready supply of snowballs. She squeaks when George comes skidding around the tree, but reacts quickly, lightly tossing a snowball from short range.

Jason and Peter had just been out walking. And then walking turned into cuddling on a bench underneath a tree, with a thermos of hot cocoa to share.

That is, until a stray snowball comes whizzing by and hits Jason in the back of the head. And so there are two gay boys now involved in the snowball fight. One of whom can't keep his hands off the other. Want to guess which is which?

Or, you know, just pelt them with snowballs indiscriminately. Either way.

So, Ivy had wandered outside. And after tossing a couple and then getting pelted with snowballs (she's a pretty big target), she took a page from Joan and Xander's book and thought up a handy snow fort to sit behind.

Problem is, while she's safe and has ammo? She can't get up to throw it.

"Jason! Over here!"

She throws a snowball to emphasize her point.

Jason grins, seeing the snowball flop pathetically, and runs over to hop behind the snowfort, dragging Peter with him. "Need a little help?"

"I've got ammo but I can't fire."

She glares, but fondly. "And it's your fault. So you get to throw."

The narration has forced Lucy out. Lucy has found herself outside, although not very far from the back entrance to the Inn.

She's watching the fight with a mixture of amusement and apprehension. As fun as this may be to watch, she wants no involvement in it whatsoever thank you very much.

In case it isn't exceedingly obvious already, this makes her a wonderful target.

Joan didn't mean to hit the random nice lady sitting on the bench. Really.

Okay, maybe. Possibly?

Either way, whatever her intention, a snowball comes flying out from somewhere to hit Lucy, and Joan ducks to hide behind a tree before there can be a counterattack.

Well, Willow was aiming for Kitty.

But she doesn't have the best aim. Ergo... Lucy gets a snowball in the face.

"Sorry!" Willow laughs.

And Lucy just stands there in shock with a very 'Omygod did she really just do that' look on her face.

Before she laughs.

Oh she really didn't want to get into this but if they were going to pulling her in...

She scoops up a ball and hurls it baack at Willow, running around the side of the Inn to try and find a small refuge while she prepares

Joan was mostly just hanging outside, because it's cold and not summer camp for crazies. But when a snowball fight erupts nearby... well. She's not big on sports, but a snowball fight is a different thing altogether. She ducks behind a tree, peeking out as she makes a few snowballs. It's best to be well-armed before an ambush.

Xander's hiding behind a tree near her's. It's just by luck or... surveillance that he pokes his head over and notices her there.

"Joan!" He whispers loudly. "We need to form an alliance! We can win if we work together! You in?"

Joan glances over to him, jumping a little when he says her name. But he's not attacking her, so all is well.

"Absolutely. We should have a base." Because all alliances need a base. The nice thing about the Inn? You can think up kickass snow forts without spending the all that time actually building them.

"Totally! A base!"

And their snow fort is kickass. One might say damn, that is one sweet base. And they would be right.

"C'mon. Plenty of room in here and holes to throw snow out of!" He declares, crawling into the entrance.

It's time to start making ammunition!

Cecily is dressed, shockingly, rather jock-like. Pants, sweater, jacket. All very streamlined. And her hair is in a ponytail.

If Joan didn't know what she'd started looking like, she wouldn't recognize her.

As it is, she's running. Once you get used to a ridiculous amount of physical exertion, you feel the need to keep moving when you don't have it as much.

A snowball would, of course, be cause for stopping and diverting her attentions.

Run-by snowball attack!

Don't mind George, she's looking for another place to hide.

Cecily stops. Turns.

And takes off after the other girl without a word.

And let it be known that she's pretty damn fast.

Oh shit.

George runs faster, trying to at least keep a little distance before sliding back behind her bush.

Safe! Or so she would like to think.
