Angua stalks into the Inn and slams the door behind her - not terribly violently, but just enough to make it clear she's not having the best of days. She walks right through the Inn proper to the back door, yanks it open as well, and steps outside, taking a deep breath in the open air. Fresh air - and a little space - are just what she needs. The Doctor was seated in a way that he was able to survey as much as the inn as possible, although in his opinion there really wasn't too much to watch right then. Instead he'd taken to tuning up his sonic screwdriver just a little until something interesting caught his eye.

And then Angua came in.

He arches a brow and rises to his feet, shoving everything in his pocket and following as she moves outside.

"Not having a good day," he asks, leaning against the door and giving her space just in case she wasn't up for closer contact.

"Not always for fun, often because I have to, but yes, occasionally for a bit of enjoyment."

No matter what it sounds like, he isn't proud of himself during these points but sometimes it's what needs to be done and he can't let himself sink into a pool of depression over it. Not yet at least.

"Well, at least you won't ever get boring. That's a good thing."

She pauses a moment, and then walks over to sit down cross-legged, near him but not too close. Most of the annoyance has gone out of her, talking to him.

He watches her and grins, considering the move a victory.

"I'm sure the Inn thanks you for not wearing too big a ditch into it."

Angua chuckles softly. "I'm sure it does. Not that I imagine it would make much difference if I did..." It can fix itself, after all.

"Of of course, but I'm sure it loves you for not making it go through all the trouble."

He's closing his eyes again and sighing to himself. "The Inn mist be a nice break for you, I mean no one seems to carry silver around here to ward you away."

"Yes, it's... nice. I'm actually a little surprised no one's decided yet that I'm some kind of threat and am going to eat their children."

She's joking. Mostly.

A smirk, "Well, I'm sure that there's got to be something in the Inn worse than you."

"Mmm, I suppose." She lies back, lying back and resting her head on one of her arms. "Some of the things around here smell very strange and not exactly harmless."

But in her experience, that just means they get hated until they're gone. And then she's the next up on the list of Threats to Humanity or whatever.

"Yes, I've noticed that too. You've got to give the Inn credit though, it does a good job of keeping it's guests in check."

If it's any consolation to her, he has found himself in similar situations more than once. He just manages to get out of there before they can hate him too much.

"It does," she agrees. "Which, believe me, I am more than thankful for. I have a feeling it's kept me from getting in some nasty confrontations."

Like when Xander was a hyena. If the Inn hadn't kept him more or less in check, she'd hate to think what would have happened.

"I'm sure it's helped everyone once or twice. If nothing else, it's just comforting to know." There's something in his voice that hints that he might be more than a little grateful but he has no plans to elaborate, none at all.

She raises an eyebrow a little, but doesn't ask. "It really is. A lot of people in here seem like they could use a rest anyway."

And the Inn seems the perfect place to supply that.
