Wasn't it good?

April is a very happy girl. She's been bouncing around, trying to find her friends to tell them the good news. Apparently, none of them are really around. She's still looking.

Ivy is a little uncertain, but happy as well, surprisingly enough. She and Sue are figuring things out, slowly but surely, and she's starting to come to terms with the ( Read more... )

Oh, if April were to look carefully around at the couches situated through the Inn, she might just find a lounging Carla!

The dominican woman is reading through some sort of magazine she managed to find sitting out, thumbing through the articles and ads. It's when she grows bored of the magazine that she notices the beaming April and smiles herself.

Turning to look at her, she speaks up, a light teasing tone to her voice, "Well aren't you happy today, hm?"

April squeaks happily and pounces. It's not too dangerous for Carla, given that April's pretty tiny herself, but it is highly enthusiastic.

"Oh my god, Carla, I've been looking for you, the greatest thing happened the other night!"

Needless to say, Carla is a little surprised when she is pounced. However, she produces a light laugh before an extremely curious look appeared in her eye.

"Did it? I want details." She teased, listening intently to her friend.

"Oh, sweetie, you look like you're coming along nicely." Edna hasn't been in the Inn for a little while, but she is glad to be back. She'd been wondering about all of the poor, troubled children running around the Inn. It's not that she thinks of them as kids, more that she thinks of them as if they are her own children.

She takes a seat across from Ivy, sinking into the squishy chair and crossing her legs. "How are you feeling?"

"Hey, Miss Edna." Ivy shifts a little, and smiles slightly. "I'm... well, I ache, and I feel like a blimp, but I've only got about a month left."

She looks more than a little scared about that.

"And how are you feeling about that, sweetie?"

Edna's not very perceptive for the most part, but the fear is easy to see on Ivy's face and familiar. She'd had a husband when she was 8 months pregnant, and she was still afraid. It's a life changing experience, no matter what the situation.

"You should get a heating pad for your back, soak your feet... that helped me through those last months."

"I... I don't know." Ivy picks at her pants a bit. "I mean... I'm not ready. I just... I don't know."

Scared.

"I do the foot soaking thing. I never thought about a heating pad."
