It's just like setting a clock.

April is sitting at a table with a calendar and a pen, frowning a bit. She chews on her bottom lip for a moment, then starts counting for what is probably the fifth or sixth time, murmuring the numbers under her breath.

Feel free to interrupt her.

Ben bounces into a chair next to her.

He hasn't seen JD since they ran into Dr. Cox, which is actually kind of worrying, but that's beside the point. He really likes April despite what she did to JD and he's in need of company.

"Whatcha doin?"

April squeaks a little and flips the calendar over clumsily.

"Ben! Um... I'm... calendar. Using it. For... planning classes!"

Yeah. Smooth. He hardly knows you and there's no way he'll believe her.

"You're the worst liar I've ever met." Ben nods. He's smiling a little, but there's mostly confusion written in his expression. "I mean... seriously, that was a very shoddy performance."

Let's see... connecting calendar, nervousness, and being too embarrassed to talk about it.

He's got some ideas.

April ducks her head and flushes, smiling uncertainly. "It certainly wasn't my best," she admits.

There's nothing she can do if he puts it together. But she can hope he doesn't.

Viktor, his own book in tow, will quite likely take a seat at the same table, initially not hearing the muttering. After cracking open his own book, and putting the parchment, quill and ink in front of him, he -does- notice the muttering... and looks up.

"... Pardon?"

April looks up quickly. "Huh?" Then she realizes what she was doing and flushes a bit. "Oh, sorry, talking to myself. I can stop."

Viktor's quick to reassure her.

"Oh, no! Is OK! I am... fine? Is that word? Fine?"

He sits up a bit straighter, and without realizing it's one of the dorkiest pick-up lines in the English language, he continues.

"Have we met before?"

"Yeah, fine works." April's a little distracted, but she smiles a little, dubiously, when he asks.

Though he's likely not actually trying to pick her up, and she knows that.

"I... don't think so? There are a lot of people here, though..."
