Sirius and Lily, in their Gryffindor uniforms, are sitting at a booth doing homework.

Transfiguration. Sirius is helping Lily, and being a little smug about it.

(She tolerates it only because when Charms time rolls around their situations will be reversed.)

Viktor, for his part, is trying very hard to find help for the First Task in a Transfiguration textbook he found in the library. However... his lack of knowledge of English is really getting in the way, and so, he can be seen (and very likely heard) muttering something uncharitable about English books being difficult to understand. He's able to recognize Hogwarts uniforms by now, though, and eventually spots two people in such uniforms studying at a nearby table. Approaching cautiously, he clears his throat.

"... Excuse me?"

"Hullo."

Sirius eyes him. Robes, thick Slavic accent...

"Durmstrang?"

Viktor's taken aback a bit by the quick recognition, but recovers his equilibrium fairly swiftly.

"... Da. Yes. But visiting Hogwarts for Triwizard Tournament. You are... from there?"

He still has his Transfiguration text book in front of him, just waiting for the right opportunity to ask for help.

"Oh, I'm Hogwarts, through-and-through. My father considered sending my brother and I to Durmstrang, though. Reckoned Dumbledore was too soft."

Sirius smiles, offering his hand. "Hallo. I'm Sirius Black, and this is Lily Evans."

EVERY wizarding lad of Viktor's generation should recognize those names.
