RP: Party Time

Padma had enjoyed preparing her flat for the party. For the most part, it was simply having something to do with her time that was good. She'd even considered getting a part-time job, although she had no idea what she would do. As the days went by, she found the idea of her old self, Padma the Single Mother, to be even less desirable than before. How had she not gone completely and utterly crazy doing nothing but look after her child? She knew she was hardly the first single mother in the world, but the idea of having a child at her age (or mental age, as she had to keep reminding herself) was just bizarre.
Of course, she also knew that she had to start pestering the Aurors more about their search for the kidnapper. I'll do it tomorrow, she kept telling herself.
Now, though, she was just going to have a bit of fun. Padma had sorted out various snack foods and russled quite an impressive supply of alcohol. She had debated over what to wear for some time, eventually choosing a comfortable-looking salwar kameez from her wardrobe, because she felt that gave her the perfect excuse to go barefoot.
All she needed now was a co-host and some guests.
