I've noticed a sort of trend in me, that I fight and fight when things seem tough or even impossible, like a marathon through the desert, I run 19 miles, just to let it all go 100m before the goal. I had come to another of those points. Those 100m are easy, aren't they? Just sit down, and read, and write. Peasy

That's one of those things though, writer as well as photographer, those aren't things you do because you make money off it. Just in the case that it turns out that you *do*, that's great, but that's not normally the case. Photography in that case is way easier to in fact make any profit from than writing - even if you get something published, as an author you get sooo little out of one sold copy. So both are something to do besides "having a proper job".

There was that option of letting some professionals look at your "portfolio" and get their opinion. Really wanted to go with my "before studying this" stuff and see what they say, but I was a bit too late for that apparently. Well, I'll have my stuff judged before long anyway haha!

In Norway there is this special "Literaturförderung" and the government automatically buys 1000 copies of any printed book, if it's literature for children, they even buy 1500 copies - we recently learned that in a quiz show, remember?

Solveig wrote a book - you can buy it online. And if it's "just for the fun of writing", why not?

With photography you might earn money, there are always people that need a professional for the basic stuff. The lady who lived in our house was a photographer, too. No professional, but she earned a little bit with making pictures of babies, couples, or sexy photos of women.

You will find your way of combining doing what you love and earning your living, I'm sure!
