you know, i'm so tired of minority groups saying they can't be biggoted or biased because they aren't the "normal" standard and therefore the way they feel or the way they talk is OK. bigottry is bigotry no matter who you are, and is a universal quality. well, they're kind of like fruitarians....
extremist, but they have a cause. a mis-understood cause, and they hold a lack of taking up that cause against almost everyone.

it still fits.

I was all but chased off of one comm for suggesting that cisphobia exists. Never claimed it was as rampant or as damaging as transphobia, but my suggestion that hatred aimed at a group based on the actions of some of its memebers was inappropriate... not taken so well.

god i'm sorry to hear that. and for shame on them, their loss, and you are probably better off. but the group might have meant something to you too. and that would have been hard to take.

I'm honestly not ok with people turning a blind eye to negative treatement or phrasings about someone just because the person saying it belongs to an oppressed, or repressed or depressed group.

if people aren't willing to see their own flaws, they can't expect anyone else to see theirs.
