AVI

My computer won't play .AVI files. Does anybody know what I would download so they can play? I already have the DivX codec, and I'm not sure if that's what you're supposed to need to play .AVI or not. Thank you to anyone who can help ( Read more... )

I can e-mail you some codec things that are supposed to make anything play. Your yahoo account lets you accept things above 1 MB, right?

That would be great, and I'm pretty sure it does.. they may have to be less than 5 MB though.

Windows Media Player plays most AVI files! ^^ Ya have that? ^^

I tend to use Winamp, which doesn't seem to have a problem playing any files, really.

I suggest downloading VLC media player, which plays every video format in existence, as well as all region DVDs (great if you happen to have bought/will buy movies in other countries). It also uses up much fewer system resources than big ugly honking Windows Media Player.
