[Bella is in her room, looking into a mirror, with her hair held back by her hand. On her neck is Zelman's bite mark. She frowns at the image, and quickly lets her hair fall down to cover it. She's hoping Edward won't see it. With that, she walks over to the wall, and leaning her back against it, she slides down to the floor, wrapping her arms

[ Of course, he's there, watching her. And, of course, he notices. Zelman's scent is all over her, and he's furious. But before he can express that fury, he has to spend time being horrified and make sure Bella is alright.

He's looking at her with a blank expression, but his eyes (very light after hunting) are full of pain and concern. He almost sounds a little broken when he speaks, his voice quiet and wavering slightly. He failed her.]

[She jumps out of surprise when she hears him, and looks up at him. It's difficult for her to hide the guilty expression on her face, but she's going to try.]

I'm okay.

[She gets up off the floor and puts on a fake smile.]

Sorry if I worried you.

[ The second she stands up, he has her in his arms, and faster than should be even remotely possible, he's cradling her against him on her bed. For now, that's all he can do. It'll take him a moment before he can form any other kind of actual sentence. Right now he's just holding her.]
