Hey all.

I'm doing pretty well in that everything inside is good, everyone's the right size, and my body is holding up really well. We had a mostly fine holiday, from which we returned last night. I am done with traveling of almost every kind until the boys arrive. I'm working from home exclusively now (though I will go in to work the odd afternoon if I ( Read more... )

I know there are some natural techniques at this stage to try and get a baby to turn the right way (prenatal massage therapists are trained in them, usually), but I don't know how or if that works with twins, since I guess you don't want him kicking his brother in the head. :)

Can you feel that there are two separate bodies inside there? That must be really cool.

Jamba Juice worked great for me in terms of the small frequent meals, along with snack-bar type things.

Best of luck chugging through the last stage!

I tried child's pose today, but boy does it not go with nausea. Other techniques like external version are off the table because they can harm baby B.

I can just feel their separate bodies, starting this week. Usually I can tell which one is kicking at a given time, based on where I feel it. They're awake at different times sometimes; other times I'm getting at least three elbows thrown at once! It's pretty funny.

I'm at home most days now, so I don't have regular access to Jamba, but I will probably start buying/making smoothies. Who am I kidding, I'll buy them, I don't have the energy to make them.

that makes sense. 3 elbows, wow...with Mac, it was just constant hiccups for the last three months, which was a very weird sensation.

You have lots of energy; it's just all being consumed internally. (I found this useful to remember when I started beating myself up mentally for being lazy or couch-potatoey.")

Right, it's donated energy :) I feel bad about doing less work (the job-category) than I would be doing if I wasn't pregnant. The job seems more forgiving of me than I am of myself.

So glad you're doing well! I hope that everything continues to be healthy and happy, and that Baby A turns around. *hug* Take care - I hope you can get lots of rest!

Thanks! The not commuting gives me an extra hour-plus of rest (my beauty regimen is significantly curtailed when the only one seeing me is Reilly cat!) and not commuting is instantly more restful than commuting. So rest is definitely in order!

That's right! If it's who I'm thinking of, I never connected with her over the summer, which I regret. I should get back on that.

Hope you're doing well too!

I'm glad to hear you're at 30 wks and going strong. Every day in the oven when there are twins is a good thing. Even if you're feeling huge.

And if you don't have the energy to make smoothies for yourself, you can always drink Ensure. Or, heck, milkshakes.

So is Ensure good? I ask because you're not the first person to mention it.

Well, good as in taste? Don't know, have heard it varies by flavor.

Good as in a fast easy way to get in calories? Yes.

Nah, I meant taste. I assume it gets the calories in alright.
