today marked the conclusion of my first full week of working at Guy's. the project's been going sorta rough, I've had to make up a lot of new things as I went and learn a lot, particularly about mixing and effects and all that. Working for Guy is definitely chill and the money isn't bad, but the more I think about it, the more opportunity to advance there looks grimmer. So Guy gave me a job. I'm not sure what it entails specifically other than I'm to do the excess work that piles up around his studio that he can't get to. Of course he already has a regular assistant, so I'm sort of the auxillary assistant, my hours being 6-10 on days that he needs me. I start today ( Read more... )

It was beautiful. Heart wretching. Passionate. The lightsaber combat was the culmination of all the movies. The acting was actually quite good. The music kills me it's so good.

I'm stil not quite recovered from the viewing, I'm a little tired and still a little emotionally drained, and I have to see it again at 2.

More thoughts on it later.

A year ago, I took jazz arranging from Matt. We had one student in there, an old guy. A really old guy. He smelled like fermalthihide and generally asked irritating questions.
