Yes, I am insane, thanks for asking

I'm actually considering creating a blog of free children's patterns, like pants and onesies and t-shirts and grobags. The patterns would be downloadable and able to be printed out on A4 paper.
What do you think? Am I just insane for thinking of doing it?

crazy? no.

But if you decide that it's a little too much work keeping up a blog, I recommend submitting your patterns as free to the burda site.

That sounds AWESOME. However, people are demanding; do you think you have the time/energy to sustain regular posting of patterns? And do you think you hae the time/energy to answer people when they have problems making the things (because people will always get even the best patterns confused)?

Of course, you could also let other people post their patterns, and then it's a sharing helping community blog thing.

... Yeah, that is a point.
Maybe a community blog is the way to go.

Not at all insane. But I wouldn't necessarily do them free. Some sellers on Etsy do better out of patterns than made goods. If you're not bothered about making anything from them you could sell them, even for a nominal amount, to raise funds for a children's charity, local hospital or similar.

That's a good point, too.
Hmm, that's given me something else to think about.
