My reaction to the news can be summed up thusly: "Meh."

I could be pleasantly surprised in the future, but at this point they're starting at a loss.

I looked up some clips of his part in "The Ruby in the Smoke", and I still can't see him playing the Doctor... although he was playing mockney in that, so I oughtn't draw too many conclusions.

Didn't care for the interview, either. I'm sure he can do physical comedy, but I haven't seen anything that indicates he can convincingly talk about the end of the world.

He needs a haircut and should always wear the glasses. Still, Tennant grew on me and I was upset when he became the new doctor. I have faith that Smith will grow on me as well. I just hope they stay away from the love plots lines between him and his companion. Also, more male companions!
