I always forget AJ was originally a Met. IT'S ALWAYS FUNNY TO REMEMBER.
omg Andy on vacation to Wisconsin HE WOULD.
Anyway, I loved this. The beginning was awkward but not in a horrible OH GOD WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN way; it was more funny. Then the rest of it was so sweet and really poignant. And this part: There was usually a moment in a game where the pitcher - him, in this case - knew that things were going to go well. A great play, a key strikeout. Sometimes it was just a random out. It was a feeling, really - just a shift in his gut.
That moment happened when he met Russell Martin’s dark eyes as he walked down the aisle and felt, for what seemed like a long time, like he could cry. :') There were a lot of nice descriptive passages but that one was my favorite.
