The female was already sitting on the ground in the general area where the two men would join her. Her eyes were closed as she sat in peace, the sudden imagery of this new person in the castle (one who she'd only heard of) entering her mind, causing her eyes to flicker open. It was then that she noticed that Peter and Raw were heading towards her. He was projecting. Though despite the interruption of her own thought processes she held up the newest edition of the paper, her finger specifically on the area in which the paper reports that the men of the viewers use violence to keep the cubs and females hidden. Clearly she wasn't that pleased.

Raw was torn between sympathy for the halfling and the drive to teach Peter to shield his thoughts. If this new stranger was dangerous, he would need to protect himself and his thoughts. While it wouldn't help as much with a non-viewer danger, it would help the Cub sort out truth from lies from the other man.

Patting the smaller viewer on the shoulder, concerned, he was hit by the fury of Bahst's emotions. Eyes wide, he turned towards his mate.

When the pair reached the female viewer, he took the paper she offered him, slightly confused. But the moment he read the article, he couldn't stifle a loud roar from escaping.

He'd expected something like this, after Bahst had told him about the munchkins cornering her. But he hadn't expected the reporters to call his kind savage and violent. Especially since they were a pacifist isolationist community.

"Will talk to Cain. After meditation." He growled, not angry at the pair before him, but those out of sight.

Peter smiled in appreciation of Raw's evident concern. He was about to inquire of Raw a potential resolution to his conflicting thoughts, when he too felt Bahst's intense wave of anger. Unlike Raw, who was used to these sort of things and undoubtedly smart enough to have his shields up, Peter gasped with pain and stumbled. He stood still a moment, his eyes closed, focusing not on the pain but on mental tranquility - the same he felt during meditation - and his shields as well. Soon enough the pain lessened enough, though a headache still remained, and he continued forward. Only then did he stagger again, this time out of surprise by the sudden roar ( ... )

The roar fell on deaf ears for her (well not so much deaf as expected). "If the Princess had not arrived I am sure they would have much more to twist around." Bahst replied as she fought a sudden urge to roll her eyes, after all that wasn't what she'd said.

"Hello cub." She said after a moment before tipping her head as he spoke of a bigger story. "I do not know what you have in mind but I would not try it. You are a halfbreed and if they found that out then viewer camps everywhere would be infiltrated, everyone - males, females and even the cubs - would be badgered for the information on how this happened. Your story would be almost as important as mine."

"Bring to garden. Need be near for one minute." If Raw had needed to do more than a surface scan, to delve into his mind for a specific memory, he would've needed to touch the other man while he searched. Despite how powerful he was, even for a Viewer. But as long as he was withing 3 feet, for a full minute he should be able to tell if he was trustworthy or not.

Peter nodded in understanding, and acceptance. A minute wasn't long, and there was plenty to talk about in the garden. He shrugged. "Yeah, I could manage that." He stood up then, and stretched once more. "Be here around the morning. Say…" he paused to consider. "10 am or so." He already figured Raw would be there anyways, but after a few years keeping a detailed appointment book, schedules were important to him. He left the garden.

Oddly enough the fact that they totally ignored her after the meditation she was used to it - which made her sort of confirm what the damned small people wrote. Her eyes followed as the cub made his way out of the garden, though there was something she was curious about.

"Who is this stranger?" It was clear that he was new - nameless apparently, "Cain thinks he could be a threat?"

"Gabriel." Raw answered, feeling remorse the instant he noticed that he'd completely ignored his mate throughout the conversation. It hadn't been planned, but reminded him firmly of the Old Ways. Tradions and ways of doing things he hated and didn't want involved in his relationship with his mate. "Just arrived. Possible spy. Cain ask about Cub too. Raw explain."
