Going through security at Heathrow Terminal 1, a small bird (possibly a hedge-sparrow?) was observed trotting through the space between two conveyor belts, and then took flight.

Lots of AWWWWWWW!!!! faces in those less than inspiring surroundings.

There was a certain hiatus after I got the ms off to my editor during which I went flump, pretty much.

Dept of Things Could Be Better: my hip is seriously grumbly at the moment and doing a certain amount of the keeping me awake at night thing. And I can't see much prospect of seeing my physio for at least a fortnight.
