Curiously enough, I was already thinking of doing links focussing on women and race in the UK, and on today's Guardian G2 Women's Page there happened to be this, by Noorjehan Barmania. Rather apposite.

Not the way it's supposed to work--but while playing Civ4: Beyond the Sword a bit last night to unburden my brain, Tipu Sultan appeared in-game as a Great Prophet, and I went to look up the name's historical basis. Synchronicity of a sort.
