The elasticity of time

Do you ever have those weeks (or other periods of time) into which someone seems to have snuck an extra day or so without you noticing? Or those days where someone has subtly extended the duration of the hours and the minutes?

This is such a week for me.

No idea why.

Hmm! I suppose she wasn't by chance one of these modest characters who didn't want it called for herself? If not, it does seem a bit off!

Given that her bequest also established an Edwards Professorship in Egyptology, I wouldn't have thought so.

Well, if you had a choice between being immortalized (quasi-pseudonymously) as the heroine of a series of lurid mystery novels or being known as the Father of Seriation, which one would you pick?

Yeah, I'd go for Father of Seriation too. Oh, well.

My understanding was that while Edwards provided the initial money and a small collection of antiquities, that the vast bulk of the material was from Petrie's excavations from the 1910s-1930s. I wonder when precisely, and under what context, it was renamed.
