On facebook I joined a Kent University Freshers group. I thought I could snoop on potential neighbours come September, and I have to say I am mostly horrified. The group mod changes her status every 3 minutes with completely inane bullshit, starts threads about inane bullshit, and most horrifying of all........has 8 PAGES of closeups of her own

I'll avoid the stupid stuff, but I do reckon I ought to make an effort to socialise and meet folk. My friend Keg gave me the advice "Meet 100 people in the first week, because hopefully 10 of em will be worth knowing".

I'm doing English and American Lit by the way, and my interview was an insane discussion of Carver, Fitzgerald, and for some reason they asked me lots about Turgenev. So i'll be very interested to see your dissertation. Wire, Gilmore girls, and a love of Raymond carver.....where you been all this time anna, ha.

A-Rod was just easy to remember. I don't really know any baseball peeps. My brother though is oddly obsessed with the Oakland A's, and spends much of his time doing online fantasy baseball.

I did see the Tampa Bay Rays when they where still the devil rays though.

ahhhh. papi is on the red sox (rivals of the yankees) and manny, like a-rod, is the diva of the team, although he's not as much as an asshole as a-rod is.
