I had a flighty visitor today

on my balcony - a hawk-moth, to be more precise, a Hummingbird hawk-moth, according to Wikipedia. It was drinking from my Borage plant's flowers for the longest time, during which I took about 80 pictures of it from various angles and directions! Beautiful! What an extraordinary creature. And such beautiful pictures! What a lucky coincidence that you saw this moth.

Very lucky! At first I went "HUH, WTF?!" because this moth is about as big as my little finger!

LOL sorry I didn't get an occasion (apart from only seeing this after I got back. ;)

And it's a moth! It does look like a hummingbird. These are excellent photos. It can't have been easy to catch the little thing with it moving about so quickly.

Well it would usually hover over a certain flower a while, to get all the nectar it could, so that's when I had to snap away. I'm very pleased with the pictures too, thanks. :)
