Is it somehow possible to make a sticky post in a community, despite the "Date Out of Order" option not working in communities? Because if I postdate it and not use that option, any subsequent entries show up above the postdated entry.

When I had my community I looked into having a sticky post, and at that time, it wasn't possible.

Some of the S2 layouts provide the option, if you are willing to do a little coding to get it to work. For example, Component has a tutorial for it here - http://community.livejournal.com/component_help/1239029.html.
