I'm actually surprised to hear Christopher Lee is interested in working on The Hobbit. From what I read, he was pretty pissed that Saurman's demise took place only in the extended edition of ROTK, so I figured he wouldn't want to work with Peter again.
I'm really delighted to hear HS is more than willing to score The Hobbit as I read somewhere [some time ago] that he wouldn't be asked to do this. Not sure why but I sensed some bad feeling was involved. Looks like this is not the case or circumstances have changed.
As for CL returning as Saruman, of course it would have to be him - just as long as he doesn't end up on the cutting room floor again! I'm really getting excited about the wizards and possibly the elves being in the bridging film but I'm still not sure the hobbits will be. Or if they are, only as cameos - heck I'll settle for that. The thought of Frodo being young and spirited and full of fun listening to Bilbo's adventures makes me tingle all over.
