I had pre-ordered my copy of "The Return of the King: The Complete Recordings" as soon as it was available. I got a shipment notification from Amazon.com on November 19th, with a delivery estimate (by expedited international shipping) of December 5th. I still didn't have it by yesterday so I inquired about it. This is the reply I just got:

I got the CD news after the Hobbit news, so I'm now feeling quite schizophrenic - excited about the film and at the same time very disappointed about the CD... *crosses fingers for solution*

That's a darn shame. Especially when you were looking forward to it so much.

Have you checked online eslewhere? What about buy.com and other sites like it? It's worth a try (assuming you haven't already tried, that is.)

I've never really used download sites. It is available on buy.com but I'm not sure if I as a non-US citizen can really get them, and their usage rules say you have to register your computer(s) with them on which you save your music... uh, no. But thanks a lot for the hint!

Well, this is just a rumor, but I heard there were production problems on one of the CDs and they pulled all of them to go back and redo them. Just what I heard.
