Hello. My name is Em and I'm currently doing my HSC (final high school exams) in Sydney, Australia. I'm English by birth, but Aussie by citizenship. I moved here a few years ago and still can't handle the heat. Right now, I'm meant to be studying, but Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poems are boring me.

Welcome to my room...

The Block Poster I did the other day of a picture I took in England a few years ago.

Back of my door and Ferris Bueller. One of my top ten movies.

My bed, shelves, mirror etc.

Dark Side of the Moon poster and Arsenal scarf. (Gunners!)

These guys share the bed with me. The alien is called Rachel, Melinda the Cabbage Patch Kid, Callum is the Bulldog and Hugh is the dog. I also have a hat bought at the Rugby in Cardiff a few weeks ago.

A Beatles towel: a Christmas present from a good friend of mine.

Top Shelf. All my weird and wacky lovely stuff, including a Jesus action figure.

Bottom shelf. Less exciting stuff like deoderant, except my dog tags which I got from my friend Erin. They have M*A*S*H 4077th written on them. It's my favourite TV show ever.

My mirror surrounded by things my sister and I send each other. She lives down the coast and we share the same sense of humour. On the mirror down the bottom it says "Em is lovely even though she smells". A loving note from my mother.

My pride and joy: my books. Only a few of my books, mind you. The rest are boxed up in my cupboard.

Dora the Explorer.

Desk.

Close up of train sign.

Laptop on its dock. Also modem and wireless network for the house.

Any suggestions of hiding the horrid messy cables?

This is Max. His clothes change regularly. Also, my futon. My sister sleeps on it when she comes to stay.

Close-up!

Max is missing a hand. Aaaw.

My curtains and blind...

and...

My amazing view! There were renovations of the house which meant my room looks onto the dining room and rumpus room. I have a skylight which lets a lot of light in though.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my room. I'll be getting back to study now.
