my bedroom is TINY. so in preparation for moving in I got rid of half of my stuff, and I have to say, it feels amazing not to be weighed down by stuff! :D

this is actually the smallest space I've ever lived in. )

Where about in Toronto do you live?
I imagine this very tiny space being pretty expensive for its size.
I'm moving out next year in Toronto and I'm so afraid of the prices.
But I really like what you did with your tiny space, really cute.

I went from $1492 in rent to $900. Apartment building living is great but they raise the rent on you every year until youre like "HOLY CRAP ITS HOW MUCH NOW?"... especially downtown.
And we have alot of those "looks really good on the internet or newspaper type apartments, when in reality the property management is sketchy and omg I moved into a neighborhood filled with crackheads and hookers". Theres alot of that here. lol

Yeah I totally know.
I live in he area, but I haven't moved out into an apartment so I'm like, super scared of prices for crappy apartments.

I lived in the Bloor/Dovercourt area in a building and the prices just skyrocketed. I would look for new apartments and put in my notice but then not find anything decent and have to stay. Happened twice. When they put the parking spot to OVER $70 a month, and were talking about adding a garbage fee, I knew it was time to go.
I moved out to Scarborough in a nice area and I have the whole top floor of a pub. Almost double the space for $500 less. I love it.
What area do you live in?

blackout curtains will block some noise, but for really good sound covering a white noise machine would probably help you the most (a real one, not the sounds to sleep to type things). it's what therapist/psychs use so that their sessions can't be overheard through the doors.

nice little place :) by the way, I strongly advise you to get a lapdesk for your laptop. It's not healthy for your computer to leave it lay on the bed like that or the vents will get trapped by fabric causing the computer to overheat inside. It almost happened to my dad and it nearly killed his computer...

what model is it? HP? It looks a lot like mine!
