i haven't seen Hikaru no Go but am familiar with some of the major characters and the basic premise/storyline. this is quite interesting as i hope you wouldn't try to "rewrite" the whole HnG series.

good luck and hope to see more of this.

Glad you enjoyed the story. I'm not quite sure where I'm going to go with this, but its definetly not going to follow the Hikago story line. For one I don't think Haruhi would meet Akira in the same way ^_^ I could see the host club bringing in Akira to tutor Haruhi in her go. The problem with that is I could also see the Host Club not needing to bring in a tutor, since they're all quite good at Go themselves.

an idea.... the host club would organize a Go Competition inviting everyone to join (including the lobelia girls! LOL) in their usual (tamaki-wise) flair and thus akira would hear about it and be curious to visit the school to check it out. and then.... (you can cintinue from here...)
