Okay, it's been... four weeks since my last post. And I feel really bad about it-- I mean, I didn't mean to ignore all of you. I just didn't think to update for the first week, but then I have a good excuse for the next three weeks

Journalism is beastly and awesome.

In Ireland, when you go fishing, you're not supposed to name the fish you're after or you'll jinx the hunt (fish?). So you use a euphemism. The euphemism for "salmon" is "beast." [/tangent]

Well, you are, but not the four weeks in which I was sick, and making friends with various ethnic minorities at a major university.

Journalism is! I wasn't too bad at it, either. I don't think I was, at least. Not good with interviewing people, though.

Really? The Scots-Irish part of me is a little weirded out by how supersticious my people are, but the rest of me thinks that's really neat. So, I'll go with "That's awesome!"

And I don't know what a CTY is, so I don't think I was there.

CTY = center for talented youth. The name is very snobby, but I heard the establishment isn't. It has beastly stuff.

Oh, and you can still go there, too! You're 13, right? You can go all the way up to your sophomore year in high school. You must be in 8th or 9th grade, right?

Just take the Johns Hopkins talent search thingy. A lot of my friends went there, and they had a blast.

It's a summer program.
