Erm, you don't know me, but I got here through scwolf_10k (under threat of being hunt down by a spoon :p). :)

The poll? I used to do them every night, now I do them every so often. It's really just to see what people think of different things.

About fate - I believe in predictable probability. That our genetics and environment make us who we are, and if every single one of those factors was known and quantified in any set of circumstances, certain actions/reactions could be calculated as more likely than others.

So, I believe in free will - we are responsible for the choices we make, but whether by intelligent design (or more likely, not) what exactly those choices are and how they play out is somewhat predictable.
