I really, really wanted to have it finished today, but the story just GREW. It was horrible AWESOME. :D And yes, omg! I'm having SO MUCH FUN writing this fic (that's probably why it's already at least twice as long as it was going to be); it's my city, my life, pretty much, right there. And St-Hubert is definitely a good restaurant. *g*

Hee, yes! Writing fanfiction, it's so rare that I can just let them loose on my town, but I really do enjoy it when I do. :) This fic is a lot of fun to write.

I'm loving this. I've only been to Montreal once, long ago, but this fic is making me nostalgic. It's nice the way they were both tracking each other. And I love the little detail that the conversation that Xander remembers was four hours long and well after bedtime for them both.

I hope the next part's on the early side of Oct. 31 because I really want to read more of this right now.

Montreal gets into people's skin. Whether you live here, or only visited once, it just gets you, you know? Or maybe I'm biased, having lived here for most of my life, but I've heard it from other people too. :) When was it that you visited?

I was there in 1987 for a few days vacation. Got to tour the Forum (which was the highlight of the trip). Ever since then the city had topped my "most beautiful cities" in the world list. Reading the street names as Xander was walking to the restaurant really brought it all back.

Heh, I was six years old when you were here. The Forum's gone now; well, okay, the structure's still there, but the inside's been remodeled into a big cinema and shopping complexe. It made a lot of people sad when the Canadians moved to their bigger and newer home, the Bell Center. The Forum has so much history. (that's why they didn't destroy it completely; the population rallied to save it, and the old owners agreed to keep it up)

Maybe Giles and Xander can walk down there at some point... their hotels aren't that far away...
