And I'm really happy you picked up on that! I don't slash them at all, tbh. For me their love is something that's between simply 'platonic' and simply 'romantic' - on AO3 I tagged this fic with 'being in love platonically', i.e., something that rides the edges of how we usually define emotional attachments and not easily categorizable. So non-romantic but an enduring, beautiful love nonetheless, as you put it, is something very close to what I had in mind, yes. :) I'm really pleased that I've been able to get that across in the fic :D

thank you! one of the things about me is that I have a million ideas for fics, but I just can't get down to writing any of them. I seem to have lost the ability to write fiction since college -_-" but I still love a good read like yours, and yes, platonic love - something very powerful and much, much harder to write about than romantic love :D
