Summer in the real world

I've been pretty quiet for a while--but that's not for lack of things to do.

This summer, I'm working at Legal Services of Northern Virginia; we represent indigent clients in civil matters. I've been on the job a week now, and I can say that it's been an education in itself ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that this is how you get to spend your summer. I can promise you that it will be fantastic preparation for whatever you decide to do when you finish school. And best of all, you're learning earlier than most that what you learn in law school has little practical application to what you do as a lawyer -- not that it isn't valuable, but it isn't 'practical'.
