gift card wave!

Do to some weird complications I haven't gotten the last couple Christmas gifts out. Please wait until I have deposited the check for Micah's half of our Fort Worden vacation before you feel hurt and jilted. Then you can hate me all you want.

LJ ate my last post (always when I freaking forget to select and copy) so you'll hear about my real life ( Read more... )

That was fast! Any reason or just a general love for the movie?

Just think it holds up better than Iron Man, overall.

All I know is that I am keen for the eventual movie where Iron Man and Captain America team up. I see this line of movies they're planning getting increasingly awesome.

Star Trek, despite being totally awesome, could sink on the next movie. J.J. has made a lot of junk.

Sorry for the ramble in response to your comment. I don't own many DVDs so I tend to overthink my purchases.

Hehehehe. I'm sensing some Trek love from the audience.

Any word on this weekend? I have a full and rich xbox 360 social calendar to schedule. :D

All I have planned is my brother's birthday breakfast/lunch, which will happen early in the day. So whenever...

Was the first day of class insane-o-crazy for you?

I own both on bluray. Star Trek has better special features and is more rewatchable, IMO. Iron Man is fun, too, but eh.

On the plus side, you'll be getting a movie with Faran Tahir in it either way!

Perhaps some of my hesitation is seeing Star Trek 5 times in theaters and then several times socially thereafter. I mean, there's only so much of one movie you can take. Even when it's blinking awesome.

Oh hey you! What weekend are we doing henna? You guys are killing me.

How else can you explain going five times, with two of those times being IMAX?

Are you somehow secretly my evil twin/clone?

I also went to ST twice in IMAX and, I think, twice more besides. XD One of the IMAX trips, I convinced my boss to bring our entire team and have the company pay for it, so maybe that counts enough to spot me the extra time you saw it that I didn't. XD

I vote: Get both!

Ha! One of my IMAX trips was with Campus Girl Scouts. We went to dim sum afterward in the ID and as a group of 10+ girls made many lewd ST references. Your boss story does not beat that.

I think I'd make a good evil twin. I'm very sneaky and have bizaro-universe logic.

I have no vote on the DVD sets, other than that a friend of mine is currently obsessed with Robert Downey, Jr. and so I'm tired of him...

My actual concern is...

Where are all these cat pictures???

XD

I'm tooooo lazy to host my cat pictures somewhere online. Also - last year I got a new duvet cover that's mostly white. Cats were banned from my room within months. All those brown, muddy cat prints... who knew? So I don't have many new shots.

Oh man, I kind of wish people in my friends list would organize a 24 hour cat-off. Competitive kitty pic posting!
