Bad Education, Brilliant Movie

May 05, 2007 23:31

I have once again realized just how easy it is to stay awake all night long. I went to bed some time after 4 AM (my standard being between midnight and two in the morning) and I wasn't even that sleepy to begin with. The sky was already turning a little lighter shade of blue, which I determinedly ignored and climbed into bed. It always takes me a ( Read more... )

I hate finding a movie like that, truthfully. I have yet to buy it but the movie I fell in love with (which means I'll watch it over and over again) was Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher. I love psychological movies like that.

I can't do without psychology, either. Which is most likely the reason why I hardly watch any TV at all...stupid reality shows and soap operas hardly qualify as thought-provoking stuff. xD

Yeah I know, hey? I think the only reality TV show I ever watched was The Apprentice; that was with my mom though...our random bonding time...>.>; Though we bond a lot so that's no excuse.

Well, more bonding time is always good! ^_^

I'm not even sure what all the reality shows you can now see here are about anymore. Sometimes I accidentally spot an advertisement or two for them, but that's it for my knowledge... XD

Oh man...I only skimmed the spoilers (cause I'm generally very anti-spoiler) and I gotta say...I'm intrigued. It's now on my list under Y Tu Mama Tambien which has been there since PoA came out so...I can't guarantee speed, only interest, I'm afraid.

Staying up late is bliss. If left to my own devices I probably wouldn't go to bed before 5.

Oh, good thing that you skimmed the spoiler part. I was so curious about this movie that I read an article type thingy on it beforehand and I absolutely hated myself for that when I actually watched it later. I'm only glad the article wasn't detailed so I didn't know everything right away. And it took such a long time before I found the movie, too!

I so agree about staying up late. Really, I have more energy at night than during the day! (Like now...it's barely noon and I already have a killer headache. x_x)

Oh, ugh, headache. As a chronic headache sufferer I really feel for you. Headaches are the absolute worst...at least to me.

I fully agree with that! I have headaches almost every day myself... x_x

Ah, I heeard many things about this movie, too. I'm still wondering whether it's worth or not watching it... I really don't know anybody around me who would feel liek watching this with me. :/

Anyway, good review, dear. ;)

OMG! You actually call this insane thing a REVIEW? *shocked wide-eyed stare*

You say you've heard 'many things' about the movie? That's nice. I remember noticing some comments on it a few times, but there weren't that many... But then again, I wasn't too open to this kind of thing back then (AKA during my denial era), so maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.

Anyway, this movie is well worth it in my opinion (how surprising, eh? ^_^;). I'll admit I watched it alone once my friend lent me the DVD...it's not something everybody would enjoy, no matter how good it is. At least no one interrupted my fun. ; )

Yes! for me, it is. It perfectly refers to the characters, to what you love and why... isn't what we usually call a review? ;)

It was a long time ago. I did hear thigns here and there on TV, but I never really had a try to watch this film at all. I guess I was in the same period as you, the infamous denial era. *g* (I'm still wondering whether I'm just a lesbian or bi anyway... *ponders*).

So, I just have to know someone who has got this DVD now... difficult task! :/

Okay, if you say so... (Does this mean I can keep putting phrases like 'spit lube' into reviews, too? *laughs*)

Well, that does sound pretty similar to my own situation. This is bad - I could have noticed so much at the time, but did I take advantage of the chance? Nooo... (By the way, I wish I could help you with the pondering, but I'm not much better off myself with all that puzzling identity stuff. ^_^;)

Maybe you could try to just rent the movie, right?
