The summery timing of this is, I think, coincidental, but in terms of song/fandom crossovers, I've found Mika's "Happy Ending" much in my mind. Actually, the seasonal connection is the spring run of Game of Thrones, which introduced me to This great vid. Since then, however, this song has been making me think of Vash and Wolfwood in Trigun and, in a more against-the-grain reading, Achilles and Patroclus (which led me to the odd realization that Vash is the Achilles of Trigun. Who knew?). And as I have been teaching Gilgamesh this term, I have been pondering that it's a pretty good song for that story too, though perhaps the "little bits of love" are a bit less obvious. A song that truly says a lot about the human condition.
