[Fluffathon] What Unlonely Is Like

Title: What Unlonely Is Like
Author: me!
Rating/Warnings: G - none
Pairing(s): England/Belgium
Prompt: "Dancing in the rain. England/Belgium."
Notes: Set in pre-WWII. I really enjoyed writing these two, as long as their (admittedly rocky) friendship has been. I should write them more often, pairing or none. ^^

Fill #1! )

Ohhhh that's just so beautiful * w*
It's one of the cheesiest things on earth, but I still love the idea of two people dancing in the rail for the sake of it ♥ You did great!

if anyone else had written this in this way, they would have failed miserably, but you really just hit it spot-on. like -- your writing style, if certain things had been phrased just a little differently (this part for example: she stepped swiftly in front of him, gently extricating the umbrella from his fingers and taking his hand in hers, her soft skin sliding against his silk gloves. She smiled mysteriously at him, the rain shining in her hair and on her dress.) then it would have been overdone, but the way you did it just made me see it so clearly. no purple prose or anything. you also did a great job of characterizing belgium, who really hasn't appeared much.

anyway, what my long ramble is trying to say is: THIS WAS WONDERFUL. DON'T EVER STOP WRITING. GET IT? GOT IT? GOOD.

This... you are so sweet! ;_______; I'm really glad you liked my characterization of Belgium--those unfeatured characters can be hard to pin down. And I'm really glad, I do go for that balance in my prose of description and development of the story, and I'm happy that the proportion I have works for you <3

Thank you so much, you get a cyber hug for being so sweet <3 *hug hug*
