Dear, this is incredible. Exactly what I was picturing, and just . . . wow. You did an amazing job with this. Everything about it, from the beginning, and even Alfred feeling that it was a great injustice because he was winning--so perfect and in character--to when he sees Arthur and goes to him because it's Arthur, and just <33333333. Seriously, I love this. Little Alfred is perfectly characterized, and he's just so sweet, and your characterization of boy Arthur is spot on, too--exactly how I pictured him, with the fussing, the avoiding the issue, and then the serious talk where he tells him to be strong. And this whole fic just sets up their relationship so perfectly, I'm just so excited by that, and how perfectly you managed it
