I just saw wild river otters at Trinidad for the 4,800th time! Or maybe this evening's sighting was #4,801. Whatever, it's been so long since the last time, I've kind of lost count ( Read more... )

A little over a year ago, residing in KANSAS--I REALLY LIKED OTTERS. now living in Ak. I am in love with and fascinated by them. I can never thank you enough for the photo journal & this site too! I read every word. maybe some who go there "just" look @ the photos but I bet many read also; just aren't motivated enough to contact you. I HAD to express my deep appreciation, & actually don't have adequate words. You know what? I bet the otters would Thank you too for providing such caring INSIGHT, thats now available to the world on their behalf.Thank you, and God Bless.

HI: I'm the artist who did watercolors of the otter on State beach years ago. this morning, 6-17-11 we saw a young otter fishing in a tidepool under Grandmother Rock. I'm going back tomorrow to try & get some pix.
