I call upon the collective knowledge of Live Journal!

So... sell me (or not) on T-mobile? I'm looking at their prepaid selection, and the $15-a-month unlimited texts and IMs seems very attractive to me, and if I can get a phone with a camera, HTML browser, etc. ...

Joining the 21st Century! A flip-style phone, imagine that! 8D

I'm on T-Mobile. They've been pretty nice to me so far.
I recently got back on my folk's family plan to save some dough, but my previous contract still had until December to expire.
I was expecting them to slap me with a 250 dollar fee or tell me I had to keep my regular contract until the end of the year (which would be around 50 bucks per month for the last 4 months).
The person I talked to on the phone was very understanding and suggested my old contract be reduced down to a 5 dollar a month plan (which I had never heard of) just to avoid the huge fees, so I pretty much only had to pay 25 bucks for the rest of 2010 before canceling my old plan.
So far they've given me really good service.

I wouldn't use T-Mobile, largely because their service in the valley is pretty poor: See here. As opposed to AT&T, where I have coverage except for a tiny section on Bear Creek, and Verizon , who have the same Bear Creek issue but have also dropped in Brookdale for me. I hear that Verizon has a better within-US network and AT&T has a better world-wide network. I've had decent service from both Verizon and AT&T.
