Brother is heading off to DC tomorrow for a political march on Saturday.

So if you're watching the news and some 40-something year old white guy using a cane starts whacking at people? That's probably him.

::shakes head::

life goes on

Your brother? Seriously?

Yeah.

Apparently he's calling himself an independent these days though - he's mad at the republicans too :)

As in all things brother-related, I nod and go "mmm hmm" and hope he goes away quickly. :)

I wasn't meaning his political beliefs, just that he never struck me as the sort to be politically active.

Oh, couldn't remember if you knew his affiliation or not :)

This is the first time. He went off on some rant about niece's eggs/future children owing taxes. Was kind of icky, so didn't listen much [eg]

But he admits that it's the first time - he's always voted, (hmmm... guess that means he never lost that right. But he can't legally own a gun...) but this is the first time he's done a march or protest.

Also going to take the time to hit the high spots with a friend who's never been to DC before.

I didn't know he even had one! LOL (Affiliation, that is.)

I have yet to attend a march/protest. I'm just not that sorta person. Though I suppose if I ever get *that* riled, all hell will be gearing up or something [g]

I always used to joke that my family's votes didn't count - Mom & bro voted Republican, Dad & I voted Democrat (usually), so we just canceled each other out :)

Now it's just brother & me, until niece can vote. I'm working on her [eg]
