I'm in the midst of doing the final edit on the page proofs of Shards, which involves reading it closely from beginning to end. Just now I was reading of what someone was eating and it being lunch time, I decided it was time to eat. I can't quite figure out why, but when on the road the weary travelers pull out a chunk of bread, wisened this or that and the requisite cheese, my mouth waters thinking of their meager rations as something delicious.... Mmmmm Olives.....

Heh, I confess I once intentionally copied the food Micum shared with Seregil the day they met: Brown bread (I used pumpernickel), sausage (I had smoked) and cheese (cheddar). It was delicious! But I didn't have any dining companions as charming as Micum or as cunning as Seregil ;)
