Alaya flirted playfully with Alec throughout the evening, but his thoughts were with ? and later Seregil informed him that he’d told the elderly Duchess Lansona that his first kiss had been with a rabbit.

“I thought she said ‘first kill”!” Alec exclaimed. “I wondered why everyone laughed.”

A rabbit would be preferable to Ylinestra, actually....

actually I'd consider her a hare... *muses*

...
Stamie from book one was so cute and innocent... she could qualify as a fluffly little baby bunny...

I always wonder what happened to her, and her reaction if their paths ever crossed again.

Interesting thought.
I mean, it was hinted that Seregil already had found some positions and apprenticeships for her... so if she survived the attack back then...
Then again it is highly unlikely she'd accept offers coming from Alec or anyone assiciated with him, she might had made her own way to Rhiminee.

... uhm... Mistress Flewelling... could you provide more info about Stamie and what became of her? (it suddenly got rather interesting for me.)

lol! That really amused me. Alec-- you're so cute! I'm excited to read that book.

On a side note I can't help mentioning-- That scene reminded me of when my friends and I were in Japanese class in college. My friend thought the teacher was asking her where she wanted to travel and instead was being asked what type of food she liked best. So my friend said, "Alaska," and when the teacher asked what people eat in Alaska, my friend felt caught by everyone staring at her. "Baby seals?" she ventured.

The teacher was horrified, the class didn't know what to think, and my friends and I burst out laughing XD I think our teacher thought she was evil for awhile after that. That Alec line made me laugh on its own and also because of the baby seals joke we teased my friend with for years afterward.

<3! I'm reading Hidden Warrior right now and I love it! Or course, I went back and read though Luck the in Shadows and Stalking Darkness to read up on all the little tidbits Seregil said. Is that cheating?
