Made Chicken Piccata (panfried filets of chicken breast with a light lemon and caper sauce) last night. A scrambled egg with herbes de Provence, wafer thin slices of fried Canadian bacon, and fresh California dates and OJ for breakfast this morning. That's one of the things I miss the most about living in Southern California - those dates! And avocados too...

Have you ventured to any of the date farms in Palm Springs? They have a fair in February that's the Date Fair (Alias: Riverside County Fair), and you can buy Date shakes there. They're surprisingly delicious, I recommend it. :D

All in all, sounds like a delicious way to kickstart the work day. Hurrah!

Yum! I just fried up some polenta and had it with eggs beans, goat cheese and peach salsa. Your meal sounds somewhat healthier.
