Good Kindle News, Everyone!

I just received word that Amazon now allows you to lend your e-books through your Kindle! While I was offered the option to opt out of this program with Glimpses, I'm not going to. It's limited, unfortunately. You can only lend a given book once, for some reason, and only for 14 days, but it's a start, at least. So far my books through Bantam do ( Read more... )

That's interesting. Libraries have time-limited e-book lending as well. I wonder if this is going to affect them much?

I got an early Barnes and Noble Nook (not the 3G or Color) as a present for my Sister. It (they) have a lending feature as well as the ability to download books from other sources other than B&N. Library and OverDrive dot com connection; certain PDF and other formats. MP3 and WMA Audio Books as well.

You can put a MicroSD chip in and expand the capacity also. A great deal for th $150 USD that I paid.
