"Atlas Shrugged" is an AMAZING book by Ayn Rand and if you haven't read it I highly recommend that you do. Hope yours is amazing too.

well, it's been 20 years since I read it, but loosely, it's about a lot of what has happened over the past 20-30 years (but written well before that) about people who are innovators who are fighting with the status quo, as out-dated technology fights the new influences and what happens when the innovators get tired of fighting. and that is a rather lame description actually - it is a hard book to define or describe, it is well worth reading and I plan to re-read it as soon as I can find a copy (it should be available at used book stores and probably online too) since I have moved a few times since I read it and no longer have my copy. It is an eye opener and hard to put down when you start reading. if you have ever heard the catch-phrase "Who is John Galt" it is from this book...

With this acclaimed work and its immortal query, "Who is John Galt?", Ayn Rand found the perfect artistic form to express her vision of existence. Atlas Shrugged made Rand not only one of the most popular novelists of the century, but one of its most influential thinkers.

Atlas Shrugged is the astounding story of a man who said that he would stop the motor of the world--and did. Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged stretches the boundaries further than any book you have ever read. It is a mystery, not about the murder of a man's body, but about the murder--and rebirth--of man's spirit.

* Atlas Shrugged is the "second most influential book for Americans today" after the Bible, according to a joint survey conducted by the Library of Congress and the Book of the Month Club

Quick question - no pressure, well may be a little anonymous October 21 2011, 04:26:38 UTC
First and second, I absolutely adore your work. (My favorite "Little Deaths" most erotic piece I have ever read - hmmm, wonder what that says about me) but I digress, when do you anticipate another installment for Atlas Shrugged? Your work is the perfect end to a day, a glass of wine, a great read and an amazing night sleep.

Simply, a heart felt thank you.

Thanks! That fic actually has a sequel now in case you missed it.
Yes, there will be more, but only when I'm done with UD as it wasn't working to work on both at once.

Yep, I will, just as soon as UD is done. I can't seem to do both at once. At least not properly.
