Title: Unexpected Destinies Rating: PG-13 Spoilers: up to and including Exile on Main St., AU from the end of season 5 Warnings: AU, slash Word Count: 2,480 Summary: What dreams may come... and reveal to us.
Well, technically he does in a way. It was stated in an episode that only an angel can kill another angel and Dean did kill Zach, so... It's there, I just chose to point it out here. That's the best part for me, I didn't make this bit up, nor what happened to the Whore.
AHAH! TAKE THIS, SAM!!! You got the demon-blood, while Dean the whole "killing-angels super-ninja skill". Oh, yeah! Now who is the better Winchester??? Ok, with this chapter, I'm a little better. But just a little. I'm starting to really like Mike: he protects Dean, is angry at Zach for the whole "bashing-Dean" he did and does not judge Cas&Dean love. Micky is awesome^^. Fantastic work: I laughed like a crazy.
And the best part of it? This thing I pointed out is 100% canon. Cas did say that and Dean did do it, all in the show. And then there's the whole Whore of Babylon thing as well, also completely canon! Yeah, Mike is not so bad. I don't think he's quite at the not judging the Dean/Cas thing yet, but, well, his Father's pretty much proven where he stands, so, he's swallowing it. Thanks!
That's one of the good things that come from Michael being the dutiful son; he backs up whoever God's backing, and since God's totally Cas' fan, well...
It's something that's always bugged me about season 6, that Raphael doesn't do this. I get that with Cas' first resurrection they could have thought that it was Lucifer bringing him back, but there's no one else who could have done it the second time around. So why is Raphael doing what he is when it was clear in the first episode he appeared in that he was for his Father?
Another wonderful chapter. I am so happy you bought up the whole Dean killing an angel when technically only another angel can kill one of it's kind. It was disappointing that the show dropped that so they could focus on Sam, again. Micheal is awesome, love his outrageous fury at Zach for messing up Dean's personal heaven. I hope that the show will pick up on Dean's ability to kill angel's again since the story is still open for the heaven arc. Of course I want to check out your other story.
I don't think they planned to drop that until they were told that the studio was going to go with a sixth season. They seemed to be building up towards something and then suddenly took a left turn out of nowhere right after they would have learned the news. So I'm pretty sure they had to alter their plans so that a sixth season was possible. I'd know to know what the original ending for 5 was! I bet it was more Dean focused.
I try! There's still a lot to come, including one really huge thing that I've purposefully not alluded to in the present chapters, hence the pov is always someone from the outside as Dean and his angels would know about it. I think the angel killing angel thing was something they were building up on like the Whore of Babylon that then needed altering in order to make a 6th season possible. Remember, Kripke only planned for 5. No, it's really not unfortunately.
