No, you don't have to write them down. Using an image to represent your chosen trope should suffice. :)

Stupid me is stupid but first let me get it right. The category set. Do we have to start from a somewhat faraway standing characters and gradually coming to a close-up? /is shot

Yes, you start from a faraway crop which then should gradually get closer.

For the category, does that mean I have to use just one image and do 5 crops by zooming in, or I can have more images and do the first one like a far crop till I arrive on the last one with the close crop?

You're allowed to use different images! As long as the last icon has the closest crop. :)
