An Eton master claiming to have been sacked in defence of free speech wrongly asserted that half of rape claims are fictitious and that sex attacks against men 'dwarf' those on women.
Will Knowland, an English teacher at the elite school, says he was fired following a dispute about a lecture in which he invited pupils to question 'current radical feminist orthodoxy'.
Called the Patriarchy Paradox, it was posted on Mr Knowland's personal YouTube channel and not delivered to pupils because of the pandemic.
He says the talk was deemed by Head Master Simon Henderson to be 'too dangerous for the boys to be exposed to' and his sacking was prompted by his refusal to remove it from YouTube.
