Painted Transformer Vault "Cosmos"

There are many painted transformer vaults in the streets of Moscow. This one is located near Varshavskaya metro station.
Two Russian dogs Belka ("squirrel") and Strelka ("arrow") spent a day in space in 1960
and were the first Earth-born creatures to go into orbit and return alive.

Wow! I love murals when they're well done, and this one is incredible! :D

We have a mural in town that some highschoolers painted several years ago. I'll have to get some pictures of it.

I'll start making a list! LOL

My hubby and I are headed into town tomorrow to buy groceries, so I'm going to try to get him to stop so I can take some photos...of both places. I might try to get some more of the old cemetery, too. That might seem kind of...morbid...but I love old cemeteries. ;) I always wonder what kinds of lives the people there lived and it stirs the imagination.
