There was going to be a post last night, more bitter than drunken, really. But I didn't get around to finishing it and I feel no need to.

I had finished Demian a day or too ago so, if completed, it would have featured much bemoaning of the herd and drunkenness-as-escape and other-people-as-escape ( Read more... )

Since you're on campus, I don't suppose you can teach me the secrets of checking my SU box? Every time I've gone by Driscoll, it's either blocked by construction or locked.

I think your mail will just be redirected to your home adress. Summer students have the option, well, really the requirement of keeping our Williams address open over the summer. But we have to GO to the MAIL ROOM to find out if we have ANY MAIL, which sort of BLOWS. And it's too late to register for this now.

But yeah. I think the school takes care of everything. SU box == home, for now.

No, I asked them to leave mine open, since I was going to be here anyway, and Driscoll's on my way to work.

Mail room is much less convenient. Ah well.

The whole "you have to check if there is any mail at all" thing is profoundly retarded, isn't it? (And I mean it in the sense of "this idea has a testable learning disability.") Especially given that the mail room is a solid walk from any of the college housing... sigh. If only there was some sort of, oh, I don't know, electronic system through which students could be alerted if they have mail. Something like... an electronic mail system. I mean, I know it's crazy, but...

Aww Carter 4. I'll be back this weekend! Although that still leaves many holes to be filled. I can't wait for the fall.
